We’re thrilled to finally announce that we’re cutting the ribbon on our newest hotel on February 15, 2019! It’s our sixth Sir hotel and our second in Spain.
Introducing Barcelona’s Sir Victor!
Located in Barcelona's premier shopping district, Passeig de Gracia, and near some of the greatest modernist architecture in existence, Sir Victor is the ideal jumping off point for experiencing the best of Barcelona. It’s also a destination of its own as a vibrant cultural hub of the neighborhood, attracting both locals and visitors alike. The property includes a luxurious spa, the fantastic restaurant MR PORTER and a dazzling rooftop pool and bar that overlook Sagrada Familia. The hotel’s overall design was inspired by Catalonia—it’s sensual, relaxed and vibrant.
All Sirs’ names are rooted in their neighborhoods and respective histories, and Sir Victor is no exception. Victor Català was the pseudonym of the monumental Catalonian writer Caterina Albert i Paradís, who produced her greatest works at the turn of the 20th century. In 1898 at just 29 years old, she became the first woman to win the esteemed Jocs Florals d’Olot literary prize, and a scandal erupted when the judges realized they awarded a woman. She went on to break many more barriers in the literary world throughout her long career, and we’re paying tribute to her name with ours. We also installed a small library in the hotel mezzanine in her honor.
We can’t wait to see you there, and make sure you pack light (you have a lot of shopping to do).
