On a warm summer evening in Barcelona, Sir Victor hosted a private dinner to celebrate "Shifting Landscapes," a mesmerizing performance and sculpture created by artist Berta-Blanca T. Ivanow in collaboration with architect Andrea Tusell Falcó, and creative director Maria Banos.
The concept was born out of a desire to highlight the importance of regenerative systems and biodiversity, inspired by the teachings of economist Kate Raworth. Set inside the intimate and moody atmosphere of Sir Victor, this event continues our initiative to host and showcase art experiences in our spaces next to works by artists Jaume Plensa, Joan Miró, Chema Madoz, Regina Jiménez, and Joan Brossa.
The Concept and Artwork
"Shifting Landscapes" centers on the seed, symbolizing wisdom and the cycle of life. The project features a 4-meter art piece displayed at Palau Robert throughout June 2024, which won first prize in the AJAC public art competition. This installation encourages viewers to consider regenerative systems and inspires sustainable living.
The Location and Performance
Palau Robert’s historic staircase provided the perfect backdrop for this installation. To mark the opening on 6 June a performance featured 15 women carrying smaller versions of the main artwork from Jardinets de Gràcia to Palau Robert, symbolizing the protectors of seeds and the wisdom of our land.
Sir Victor's Role
Sir Victor hosted an exclusive dinner for the "Shifting Landscapes" team, reinforcing our commitment to supporting innovative art projects. This collaboration aligns with our dedication to the arts, reflected in the exceptional pieces displayed throughout our hotel.
We are excited to support "Shifting Landscapes" and look forward to its impact on the community. This project not only celebrates the beauty of art and nature but also challenges us to rethink our interaction with the environment.
